## One menu on the home page, and Lisbon comes out of the nav

**The home page had two navigation bars.** The design the partner sent carried its own in-page
anchor strip — *Why now · How it works · For leaders · Pricing* — with a buy button on the right,
and [v1.25.1](versions.html) kept it under the shared menu on the grounds that in-page anchors add
to a site menu rather than replace it. On the page that is two menus, and since
[v1.25.3](versions.html) relabelled the buttons it was also the buy action twice above the fold. The
strip and its CSS are gone. *Buy an Agent Behaviour Policy* now appears once in the hero and once in
the closing panel, which is once at each end of a page seven screens long. The section ids stay, so
[the link from the brief register](briefs.html) to `index.html#parts` still lands where it did.

**Lisbon 2026 is out of the menu.** The Startup Summit was 17–18 September 2026 and today is the
second day, so from here it is a dated record rather than a destination.
[The page](summit.html) is untouched: `unlisted` takes a page out of the menu data and does nothing
else, so it keeps its URL, its markdown twin, its entry in `sitemap.xml` and `llms.txt`, and stays
indexable. The [materials page](summit-booth.html) it links was already unlisted, for the same
reason. The header is down to six top-level entries.

**And a proposal for the rest of the menu**, which is the lead's call rather than ours:
[the menu after the ABP turn](admin/briefs/direction__the-menu-and-the-page-list-after-the-abp-turn/).
The short version: the menu still describes a site that argued for insurability first and started
selling behaviour policies later. Eleven listed pages have no editorial link from anywhere but the
menu; two entries four rows apart are called *Agent Behaviour Policy* and *Agent Behaviour
Policies*; and the Insurance group carries eight pages in front of a reader who came to buy one
thing. The proposal is five top-level entries with the product first, nineteen pages in the menu
rather than thirty-four, and nothing deleted or hidden — with two alternatives written down beside
it, including the four-entry shape the partner's design implies.
