Two shorter descriptions, because a form refused the shortest one

The boilerplate↗ carried four lengths and said of the shortest, at 180 characters: say nothing shorter than this: below it the sentence stops being a claim and becomes a category. Web Summit's exhibitor description field rejected 180 characters on 23 September 2026, which settles it. A rule this site wrote about its own copy lost to a form that counts.

Badge, 110 characters — the shortest that still carries all three objects and the verb on each:

Agent Behaviour Policies: what one agent can reach, what you authorised it to do, and the gap between the two.

Chip, 80 characters — two of the three, with the third implied by against:

Agent Behaviour Policies: what one agent can reach, against what you authorised.

Both drop the company name rather than the claim. A directory has already asked for the name in the field above the description, so thirty characters were being spent saying it twice. What is protected in every version is the order: what it can reach, what you authorised, the gap. Lose a length and you lose detail; you never lose the claim.

The note on the 180-character version now says what happened to it and on what date, rather than carrying an instruction a real field has disproved.
