This piece follows that log. Counts are computed from the local JSON file; everything else is what the notes say. ## The shape of the record By series, the log holds 27 releases numbered v0.1.x, 100 numbered v0.2.x, ten each of v0.3.x, v0.4.x and v0.5.x, and nine of v0.6.x ([version log, local](src:history/sgit.ai-version-log.json)). Releases fall on 29 different days: 81 in August and 85 in September ([version log, local](src:history/sgit.ai-version-log.json)). The busiest day was 21 September, with 20 releases, followed by 14 August with 17 ([version log, local](src:history/sgit.ai-version-log.json)). The page says the version "increments on every release" and that each release is one git commit on the `dev` branch ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). ## 11 August: a site that runs sgit in the browser The first release was "Initial vault app: the positioning & messaging proposal microsite with an embedded landing-page prototype." ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). The next one, the same day, replaced it with "the sgit.ai MVP site: 12 individually-navigable pages" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). Twelve releases went out on that first day ([version log, local](src:history/sgit.ai-version-log.json)). By v0.1.9 there was a "Try sgit in your browser" page running the real sgit-ai wheel client-side under Pyodide, and the site was deployed to GitHub Pages ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.1.10 added an in-browser terminal with the real CLI, and v0.1.12 recorded the first complete in-browser clone: "full 225-blob clone of this site vault" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). ## 12 August: the site's own key leak v0.1.13 opens with "SECURITY": the vault passphrase had been written into a tracked, public build file, "present in 3 commits" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). The note says: "The key must be treated as compromised and rotated." ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.1.14 published a rotation runbook with the leak as its case study, and added a validator rule that every generated page must be reachable from another page ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.1.15 added a Deploy section rendered live in the browser from an encrypted vault, using a published read-only key ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). ## 14 August: structure, twins and the first structural bump v0.1.25 gave every page a `.md` twin generated from the same content, and generated `llms.txt` from the page registry ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.2.0 moved page bodies into one file each and replaced a 2,709-line generator with a 648-line engine; the note says "all 31 pages byte-identical" after the refactor ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). The log's numbering note says the middle digit "will bump on structural redesigns" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). ## 15 to 17 August: vaults on the page v0.2.6 shipped "The first demo": a vault app, Field Notes, running inside a sgit.ai page from a published read-only key ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.2.12 added the catalogue, "a vault indexing vaults, including itself" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.2.15 recorded that the official SG/Vault interface now opens from a published read key, after the interface team fixed the credential format ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.2.19 is the release in which "The site starts doing the thing it was building toward: publishing vaults", with five vault pages at launch ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.2.23 gave every vault its own folder under `demos/vaults/` ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.2.25 added Risk Mandate, described as "a Black Hat field demo" built as a vault app with 124 files ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.2.26 made credential intake "a check rather than a habit", after a vault key was submitted as a read key ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). ## When green did not mean live v0.2.33 records that v0.2.31 and v0.2.32 "both pushed cleanly, both reported success, and NEITHER reached sgit.ai" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). From then on a release ends by asking the live site what version it serves ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). On 22 August v0.2.40 opened with "THE TAG GATE TOOK THE SITE DOWN": two commits went unserved for a day because the tag job failed on a commit that was not a release ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). ## Sections, the network and a new front page v0.2.35 added Updates and Articles, built on the rule "PUBLISHING IS ADDING ONE FILE" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.2.36 added a Network section for the sibling sites, and v0.2.44 turned it into a directory of nineteen, "17 live, 2 with repository and DNS in place" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). On 7 September v0.2.60 rebuilt the homepage. The hero sentence changed from "the encrypted git for humans and AI agents" to "a vault is a unit of work: data, app, history and sources, shipped as one string" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). The next release corrected a claim in that one: the homepage had not gone from nine bands to eight, it had nine before and nine after ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.2.62 added a Team section with nine roles for the agents and an Investors section ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). ## 19 to 21 September: a purge, a style rule and a performance page v0.2.84 deleted the site's own vault mirror from the tree and from every commit, and force-pushed the branch ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). The mirror was "258 MB in 15,933 files against 24 MB of content in about 750: 91% of the repository" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). From v0.2.85 to v0.2.95 a run of releases built and corrected a page on fractal semantic graphs ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.3.0 on 20 September removed "3,200" em-dashes from prose, and rewrote 102 published read keys under `sgit_rk1_` and 24 bare ones to carry `sgit_public_read_` ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). From v0.3.2 a performance page was measured against live vaults; v0.3.6 records a full clone taking 65.4 s through the serverless API and 2.63 s with plain GETs ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.4.0 on 21 September added a Startups section ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). The same day, between v0.4.3 and v0.4.7, an article on SaaS was retitled three times and then its file was renamed to match ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.5.0 added `og:image` to every page, noting that "LinkedIn's crawler does not read WebP" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). ## 22 to 24 September: articles, partnerships, business plans v0.5.2 published an article on the future of news, and v0.5.5 gave first-person articles a byline ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.5.7 added a Partnerships section with a first case, UK Sovereign AI, and v0.5.9 retitled that page to say it is "A proposed partnership" ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.6.2 and v0.6.4 added a call for collaboration on vault key management and sixteen partnership pages ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). v0.6.0 on 23 September is "THIRTY-SECOND VAULT, AND THE FIRST BUSINESS PLAN PUBLISHED FOR SOMEBODY ELSE TO RUN": Agent as Webmaster ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). On 24 September four more plans followed as vaults 33 to 36: Connector Twin, Risk Acceptance Office, Lesson Loop and Company X-Ray ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html), [business plans](https://sgit.ai/startups/business-plans.html)). v0.6.7 sent a build brief to riskmandate.ai ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). The last entry, v0.6.8, ends: "Thirty-six published vaults." ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)). ## Where the record stands The published vaults table on the site lists 36 rows, which matches the last release note ([published vaults](https://sgit.ai/demos/vaults/index.html)). The same page's own summary line still says "Thirty-one vaults you can open in your browser right now" ([published vaults](https://sgit.ai/demos/vaults/index.html)). Commit ids in the log change form at v0.2.77: rows up to v0.2.76 carry the sgit commit id from the site's own vault, and from v0.2.77 the id is the git commit ([version log](https://sgit.ai/admin/versions.html)).
